ECG - Ebstein's anomaly is associated with ECG findings of right atrial hypertrophy and right bundle branch block.
On chest radiology the heart size is variable, from normal to huge - the latter occupying most of the thoracic cavity.
Echocardiography - reveals Ebstein's anomaly (significant apical displacement of the part of the tricuspid valve) with a tricuspid regurgitation; right atrial and right ventricular dilatation. Other valve defects may also be present.
Cardiac catheterization and angiography - because arrhythmias can take place this procedure may be hazardous.
