Uses: abdominal colic and distension, particularly in irritable bowel syndrome

Capsules, m/r, contain peppermint oil 0.2ml Pack size: 100-caps pack Side-effects: heartburn, rarely, allergic reactions including rash, headache, bradycardia, muscle tremor, ataxia. NB contains menthol and peanut oil.

Dose - Adult: 1-2 caps, swallowed whole with water, 3 times daily 30-60 minutes before meals for up to 2-3 months if necessary - Child under 15 years: not recommended

Local irritation: capsules should not be broken or chewed because peppermint oil may irritate mouth or oesophagus. Do not dispose of by burning - the explosions are dramatic.
