In addition to the features of natural progression of the disease, a number of other sequalae may be observed:

  • syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone
  • disseminated intravascular coagulation
  • cardiac and respiratory arrest

Long term complications can affect nearly any neurological system. (1)
