CNS tumours of neuronal origin are rare and usually found in children or young adults. They show many similarities to their counterparts elsewhere such as in the adrenal medulla.
Neuroblastomas occur mostly in the cerebral hemispheres of children. Ganglioneuromas usually arise in the floor of the third ventricle.
