Euchromatin is a form of chromatin in which their is no futher level of superstructure beyond the chromatin fibre. It means that there are portions of DNA which are relatively unravelled and available for transcription.
Euchromatin is less visible than heterochromatin under the light microscope due to its looser arrangement.
Euchromatin is associated with cells which are metabolically active.
